Deborah Dunham from Stylelist caught up with Anh from Neil George to ask him on the rise in this retro haircut:
“This can be such a harsh cut, so it has to be very soft with a lot of movement.”
While Tran said Neil George has seen a rise in pixies with bangs, the bowl cut is definitely becoming popular. “I’m working to break a couple of my clients into it,” he said.
But even if you didn’t have one growing up, this hair trend still may not be the best look for you, according to Tran. “You have to be very confident to wear it because it frames and exposes your face. It works well for oval, square or long faces and those with smaller features,” he said. “People with a large nose or a round face should stay away.”
