A honey gold blonde color, the warm shade that falls somewhere in between dark blonde and light brunette, is a great hue that works on a variety of skin tones. Neil George Salon colorist Tyle Mahoney explains how he achieved this low maintenance and complimentary color on his client Aimee Teegarden. Having a flat neutral brown hair color naturally, Tyle first did a subtle lightening of her base. He then applied very fine highlights throughout to create an overall golden warmth shade. The key in accomplishing this color is to be very precise with highlights to avoid ‘overhighlighting’ and ending up with a color that is distinctly blonde instead of a mid-tone shade.
